Community work

Each year our employees give back to a community group close to their heart.

On the 21st of September, we’ll be closing our doors to get out and about to give back to our local communities for our annual Heart of the Community Day.

Nominate a local community organisation

You can nominate a worthy not-for-profit organisation in your community to get the support they need from our team of enthusiastic and hardworking staff who are based all around the country. They have a broad range of skills - administration, finance, marketing and mentoring to name a few!

Last year we made a real difference across NZ by working the kitchen at Ronald McDonald House, serving meals with the Hamilton Homeless Trust, helping with feeding and cleaning at the SPCA and assisting community centres with their marketing and communications planning.

Selection criteria

All nominations are reviewed and selected by our local teams. They'll check that they're available and capable (if the task is specialised).

The selection criteria we use to assess the work is that:

  • The organisation must either be a; registered not-for-profit or registered charity, preschool, school, or Kōhanga Reo
  • The nominated activity must be a local initiative that benefits the local community
  • Activities and organisations must also be in line with our own organisational values.

While we'd love to help everyone, we can only stretch so far. However, we will contact all organisations nominated, whether successful or not. So if you're not successful this time around, remember to try out again! We look to support a range of organisations from across all areas of the community.

Nomination form

Nominations have closed for 2016. Please check back in February 2017 when nominations open again.
