Summary
This programme is the perfect way for people starting out in the meat processing industry to gain fundamental skills in handling, preparation, packaging, storage of ingredients and products and performing basic processing functions.
They will learn to comply with workplace health and safety, hygiene and environmental practices, apply quality standards to achieve production requirements and perform basic processing functions.

Learning outcomes
Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- comply with required hygiene and food safety practices and quality standards and procedures within the food or beverage industry
- comply with required workplace Health and Safety practices within the food or beverage industry
carry out basic food or beverage processing tasks - communicate effectively and work cooperatively in a food or beverage processing environment.
