Summary
This programme introduces learners to the fundamental principles of basic seafood tasks, covering key entry level skills and knowledge required by the seafood industry.
Graduates will be capable of carrying out the various entry level routine tasks across the seafood industry sectors.
Employers of learners can customise the skills and knowledge to meet their organisational needs – this is known as a Limited Credit Package (LCP) version of this programme. Covering all the fundamental skills, LCPs are great taster courses for entry level employees providing a pathway towards a full New Zealand Certificate.
This is a 4 month programme.
Learning outcomes
Graduates of this qualification will be able to carry out practical tasks and apply safe work practices associated with an entry level role in a seafood industry context.
